While we are yet to acquire our permanent facility, we work with partners who have approved freezing facilities with capacity of up to 25 tons a day, with plate freezers and blast freezers. Our team of staff have very good knowledge and experience on the processing and Quality Control of Nile Perch among other fillets.
FFT sources fish from licensed suppliers who have supply contract with us. Free ice is always provided to the fishermen to ensure the freshness of fish caught and stored. All fish arrivals are coded for traceability. The processing chain is rapid to avoid any temperature abuse and is monitored closely. Only best products are packed for export. Periodic microbiological checks and hygiene swabs on the product are usually carried out to ensure quality and production.
The frozen products are transported to Mombasa port by reefer containers for further shipment by ocean going vessels. The fresh chilled are transported to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for airfreighting
